Think you’ve got what it takes to be crowned the fastest hire kart driver in South Australia?
The AirTouch Karting Championship is giving everyday racers the chance to compete for glory during one of Australia’s biggest motorsport weekends, the AirTouch 500.
Running alongside the Supercars Championship at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park on Saturday 12 September 2026, the AirTouch Karting Championship will bring together the fastest drivers from The Bend Kartdrome and Mallala Motorsport Park for a winner-takes-all showdown.
Qualify Through Arrive & Drive
Getting on the grid couldn’t be simpler.
Between 1 June and 31 August 2026, drivers can attempt to set one of the fastest lap times during eligible Arrive & Drive sessions at either The Bend Kartdrome or Mallala Motorsport Park. The top 10 drivers from each venue will earn a place in the championship final field. Up to four wildcard entries may also be awarded, creating a maximum field of 24 competitors.
Whether you’re a regular chasing personal bests or someone who enjoys the thrill of competitive karting, every qualifying session is an opportunity to climb the leaderboard.
A Championship Decided on Supercars Weekend
The action doesn’t stop once you’ve qualified.
Finalists will return to The Bend Kartdrome during AirTouch 500 weekend to battle it out through a series of qualifying sessions, heats and finals before one driver is crowned the inaugural AirTouch Karting Champion.
The championship format includes:
- Heat 1: 5-lap qualifying session and 5-lap race
- Heat 2: 5-lap qualifying session and 5-lap race
- Consolation Final: 5-lap race from a random grid
- Championship Final: 10-lap feature race from a random grid
With random-grid finals adding an extra layer of unpredictability, drivers will need speed, consistency and racecraft to reach the podium.

Every qualified competitor receives:
- Free entry into the championship
- Two General Admission tickets to the AirTouch 500

The top finishers will walk away with trophies and prizes, while the winner will enjoy an unforgettable motorsport experience including a Driving Experience and a meet-and-greet with a Supercars driver. Second place receives a Hot Lap experience, while third place takes home a $150 karting voucher.
